|Annotation=In a genome-wide association study performed in 1000 unrelated US Whites, this SNP was significantly associated with Lean Body Mass(p=7.58 x 10 -8). Subjects carrying the TT genotype at this SNP averaged 2.55 kg higher Lean Body Mass than subjects carrying CC or CT genotypes. The significant association was replicated in 1488 unrelated US Whites, in 2955 unrelated Chinese, and in 593 nuclear families of 1972 US Whites.
